Shelter Protects You

Out of Asheville, North Carolina comes Shelter and I am going to let them tell you about who they are because honestly it seems to sum up the beauty of what they are all about perfectly.  "S H E L T E R is a collective of generalists tending towards these specializations: design, crafts, painting, sewing, cabin building, woodworking, drawing, walks in beautiful settings, alchemy, the art of listening, and more.  We’re adding to the list everyday, with pleasure."  Love these guys.  Check out what they are working on.

Faded. Apricot. Boots. @SSENSE

You had me at faded.  And then the deal was sealed with apricot.  Acne Cypress Boots.  Now on sale! at SSENSE.

Strawberry People

Amazing paintings by Strawberry People.

Thump Thump Thump @NastyGal

That's the sound of my heart looking at the new digs at Nasty Gal.  Summer is about the only time of year I am into this much white and cream and ivory in my wardrobe.  Add a little sun kissed glow and I'm good to go.

Heaven by Kaila

I am in love!!! Heaven is the creation of Kaila C. Niles a textile artist with an eye for design and a passion for vintage.  All the pieces in her collection are vintage items she has carefully chosen and than dyed creating something beautiful in a whole new way.

Handmade In Cape Town

Heather Moore is the Cape Town artist behind Skinny laMinx.  She uses paper cutting and drawing to create designs that she than has printed locally on fabric woven in South Africa.  I love an artist that utilizes her resources close to home.  She has a great little shop on Etsy that you should have a look at.  It's full of super cute tea towels, pillows, table runners and more all in bright colors and original designs.

Sunset Turban

Loving the colors in this turban by The Future of Frances

Adorable Tieables

Especially love the arrow shape of the top one!

Brand Spanking New In The Etsy Shop

We just freshened up our Etsy shop with some new pieces from the spring/summer 2011 collection.  Please stop by if you have a sec and check out what's new

Cinco de Mayo

In honor of the fifth of May I have a DIY project for those in the mood to do a little something to celebrate.  I found this mini piƱata project over at Lieschen Mueller's blog.  I always find a reason to smile when I see her work.

Going dark

I have been thinking about going darker.  I know people usually go light in the summer and darker in winter, but since I keep putting off a visit to the salon my procrastination has me a few months behind schedule.  Maybe something along the lines of one of these shades.

8th Grade Flashback

I'm pretty sure I had one of these when I was in eighth grade.  I may need to reinvest.  Seems like a good summer bag.
